I (Mazda3 2010) bumped my right power mirror w/o lamps and w/o defogger into another car’s mirror and lost the black cover (w16 paint) AND part of the non color specific sub assembly known on OEM parts descriptions as #1 mirror sub assembly. black cover is bot 18 dollars, understand I must buy, not sure how to clip on.
Worse, [help], don’t know why a small portion of sub assembly that also appears a clip on and when with the ‘bump’ would be near 104 dollars: Is there a p/n for just snap on parts of the sub assembly Mazda isn’t providing at lower cost? And, how does one install sub assembly(seems like the piece of the sub assembly I need which covers the spring and bottom below cover I will buy is also a clip on)?
Yeah, the best I can see anywhere is $114-150 for the whole unit.
And my write-up has everything I could figure out about taking the mirror apart; I’ve no idea how to just get back cover off. That’s why you let the dealer do it, I suppose.
